Application Requirements:
Bajaj Auto Ltd. is a leading company
in auto industries. They manufactures
two and three wheelers. They produces
2000 two wheelers and 500 three wheelers
per day. For electroplating plant need
of PLC. The plant is having four transporters
which travels over thirty four tanks.
The PLC is housed in IP65 Panels due
to the vapors of Tri-Nickel Chromium.
As the Transporter travels the cables
of the inputs and outputs also gets
stretched or compressed. |

To
avoid this, genius blocks has been used, which
has been installed in the panel placed over
the transporter. Control system was defined
to perform Control of transporter motors.
Control of washing solenoid valves. User friendly
supervisory system for OI & reporting ,alarm
Management, Data Logging. |

Customer Expectations:
Low cost, reliable PLC system. To avoid the
cables which are coming to main panel earlier.
The all cable has to be replaced every year
because due to the transporter travel from
one tank to another the cables gets damaged.
The HMI shall include quality graphics, exhaustive
reporting & trending features.
VSAS Solution:
VSAS has Engineered and Commissioned PLC &
HMI system for the above requirements. To
sort out cable problem VSAS has installed
Genius Blocks in the transporter panel which
is paced over the transporter.
VSAS Solution was based on:
CPU SYSTEM: 90-30 Family PLC system Genius
Blocks with Genius Bus Controller Ethernet
card for HMI
I/O SYSTEM: Genius Blocks DI – 64 DO – 64
Communication System: Genius for local
I/O’s in the main Plant Ethernet for communication
with HMI HMI: CIMPLICITY HMI as OI for monitoring
& control. Horner OIU to Display Status and
Modify Timers HMI FEATURES: Over 25,Colourful,user-friendly
graphics screens. Pop-up alarms. Historical
& real-time trending. Hourly & Daily Production,
testing Reports Manual By-pass facility with
password protection. Total System status in
one screen.
