ELC Integrated single axis controller

Indramat's ELC single axis control module plugs into an ECODRIVE03 intelligent digital servo drive to provide a complete compact single axis positioning system control, servo drive, I/0 and power supply in one package. Compared to solutions using a separate control and drive, this requires less panel space, reduces wiring, provides higher reliability and cuts costs. The ECODRIVE03 with ELC is a fully programmable control system, providing OEMs and end users with a scalable solution for machine control. It features power capabilities from fractional to 36 HP and supports a full range of easily configurable HMIs.

Its multitasking and logic capabilities can eliminate the need for an additional micro PLC in many applications.

ELC plugs into the 40, 100 and 200 Amp ECODRIVE03, providing a wide horsepower range.
Parallel interface with 16 inputs/12 outputs or fieldbus interface, supporting Interbus, Profibus or DeviceNet.
Easily adapted to machine's mechanical and electrical characteristics by entering data into a set of parameters.
Multi-format serial port for easy communication with user devices.
Low commissioning and training costs.
Runs any of Rexroth Indramat's high performance brushless AC servo, induction, frameless and linear servomotors, allowing machine builders and users to support fewer components.
Global customer support/service.
Electronic gearing, programmable limit switches, high-speed registration and high-resolution electronic camming are performed in the drive.
Multitasking - one motion program, two background programs run simultaneously.
An input provides for a measuring wheel feedback or allows for a secondary encoder for speed/position synchronization to another process.
Application-specific software packages available for roll feed and flying cutoff.
I/0 local to the HMI expands system capabilities.
Offers same command set, parameters and serial interface as Indramat's highly successful CLM and DLC controls.

CLM Multi-axis analog control for general purpose applications

The new CLM 1.4 is used for positioning and synchronization of up to 4 axes and has been used in a large number of machine applications. The CLM is virtually maintenance-free and can be programmed from the keypad. The new CLM has all the same features of the older CLM controllers. The CLM significantly increases productivity through enhanced system availability with the following benefits:

Easily adapted to a wide range of applications.
Supports Fieldbus: PROFIBUS, and DeviceNet.
Interfaces with Operator Terminal BTV04, BTV05, BTV06, BTC06, a PC or a PLC.
Variable programming commands added.
On-line programming is available via the RS-232 or RS-485 serial interface, or the CLM keypad.
Removable programming module (MOK 19) with stored parameters and program.
Modular design and rugged construction.
Continuous system monitoring and diagnostic protection.
32-bit microprocessor
5 programming tasks with 3000 blocks.
16 inputs and 16 outputs can be freely programmed by the user which can be expanded to 88 inputs and 51 outputs.
Optional Languages: English, German, French, Spanish, Italian or Portuguese.
Incremental or absolute position signals can be utilized.
Extensive diagnostic error messages are output in selected language.
Rollfeed, Flying Cutoff available with CLM 1.3 hardware.
Programming with Motion Manager (DOS-based), CLM-TOP (Windows-based) software.

BTV HMI display panels

Indramat offers a complete line of HMI interfaces, these interfaces are extremely rugged and completely compatible with most all Indramat products. The BTV family consists of smaller HMI interfaces and industrial computers. Below are some features of these products:

3 different compact units: BTV04, BTV05, BTV06
Compatable with CLM, CLC, DKC, MTCNC.
Custom Screenmanager program tool kit for complete flexibility.
Built in I/O Mapper with simple ladder functions.
Ten programmable +24V inputs and eleven outputs.
IP65 rated enclosure
Flash firmware and program upgradeable.

BTV04-DKC03 Drive Interface

Main Features This user interface can be used to setup and operate the DKC Servo Drive: in torque, velocity, stepper and positioning modes. Automatic parameter initialization will be performed to simplify system configuration without the use of a computer. The BTV4 will supports a single axis through the RS485 bus and is compatible with ECODRIVE03 with SMT firmware. The BTV04 is setup the same as the CTA10 DK2 firmware that was used on the ECODRIVE01, with added functionality. The BTV04 will support three main modes of operation. The display screens will be able to show the following:

Current mode, drive firmware, BTV firmware, complete drive diagnostics.
Current torque, speed, and position information (dependant on mode).
Edit position block information : position, velocity, acceleration, jerk and block mode.
Teach position function.
Edit block and parameter mode screens password protected (customer selectable).
Display BTV inputs/outputs, DKC inputs/ outputs.
Display motor drive information: bus voltage, bleeder load, peak and continuous motor current.
DKC status display on top line of BTV Screens.
BTV output buttons include: Start, Stop, Jog +, Jog -, and BCD Block Select.
Complete access to all parameters, or menu driven screens.
Complete access to drive commands: Homing, Basic Load, Default Setup, Auto Tuning
